What does the board do?
The Baker Food Co-op Board represents the member-owners and helps guide the long-term direction of the store.
Board responsibilities include:
- Strategic planning
- Financial oversight
- Policy development
- Supporting the store manager
What to expect
Time commitment
- One meeting per month, usually 60–90 minutes
- Some light reading before meetings
- Optional committees or special projects
Term length
- Board terms are two years
- Elections are held each April
- Terms are staggered for continuity
